If I understood the SEC filing correctly Apple stated that revenue is expected to be down compared to the same quarter of LAST year. Apple's revenue in the quarter ending 12/31/96 was $2.12 billion. That is very different from a "quarter to quarter" drop in revenue which I take means that it will drop below the $1.6 billion we had last quarter.

My feeling is that the revenue will obviously be below $2.1 billion but should be higher than $1.6 billion and thus excluding charges we're within reach of profitability.

As for the $30 million charge.. anyone knows what it pays for? Remaining PowerComputing deal, CompUSA deal and promotion?
