They just have to guard against the policy error of a premature withdrawal of stimulus. That is the error BOJ made for 20 years of Japan's lost decades. We need to err on the side of too much stimulus versus to little. A determined effort to implement good old fashioned Keynesian economics is all that is needed to escape K-Wave Winter. The problem is getting policymakers to show this level of determination. The Fed has done fairly well in this regard but even they have been too timid and guilty of trying to exit QE too soon on several occasions.
