You called Reagan's policies "Income Redistribution". That is simply not true.

Yes, it is true.........the rich and corps were allowed to keep income that prior to Reagan were once paid as taxes to finance the gov't. That's an example of redistribution. In fact corps and the rich have had a pretty good ride for the past 30 years. The rich in the US pay the least amount of income taxes of any first world nation.

>> Uh.....why do you think we are running a deficit and can't pay our bills?

We spend too much... military spending and corporate welfare included.

That's part of the problem but we also are not getting enough income.

You and I have already discussed this. Your upper limit for the tax rate on the rich is "How much do you have"... 100%

BS. The tax rate for the rich these days are not even at Reagan levels.

Neither Bill Clinton nor Obama have argued for a return to Jimmy Carter Tax rates.

I really hope Hillary makes a "return to Jimmy Carter's tax rates" a key goal of her campaign. Do you think she will?

I would be happy if we returned to Reagan tax rates at this point along with some significant corp. and tax reform.

I would hope she proposed rolling revenues and expenditures line item percentages to GDP back to what they were when her husband left us with the best economy in our lifetimes. Can it happen with extremists on both sides now controlling the debate along with all the gerrymandering and rise of super pacs? There is a reason 51% now identify themselves as independent..
