From Smart Money..... t's not just the semiobscure companies that manage to move their stock prices by pressing the flesh with Wall Street. On Monday, Gateway 2000 (GTW) shares jumped 9.4% after the company's investor relations department talked up prospects with analysts. Afterwards, two analysts, Deutsche Morgan Grenfell's Michael Kwatinetz and Lou Mazzucchelli of Gerard Klauer Mattison, made upbeat comments about the company's fourth quarter. "The IR person was making the rounds yesterday telling a pretty good story," says Mazzucchelli.
