"Unfortunately"?

What does luck have to do with it?!?!

The BOD and management have made a series of decisions that have been disastrous. Who chose to take that case all the way? And the case before? And the LG fiasco resulting from the terrible TVL acquisition?

That series of events was not the result of cosmic/divine intervention; that was a group of people taking a risky path that has now proven to be ruinous! These are supposed to be experts but somehow could not read the writing on the wall....

Heads must roll. It's time to do what I suggested a year ago, shut down the licensing and litigation divisions, keep only the evaluators and start selling the patents in blocks. As the blocks are sold the cash should be returned to the shareholders.

Time for the BOD to wake the F up and do the right thing!!?! Or it will be forced upon them in even less pleasant circumstances....

I find it ridiculous that a group of untrained people in a short time can make such a decision regarding validity or invalidity of patents. What is the point of the patent office? The patent office and judges (where matters of law are concerned) are the only ones that should be making these types of rulings. It is unfortunate indeed that this process is used in north america.

Makes one wonder about the entire patent process.
