Hi Paul, I just got back in 1/2 hr. ago. Wow, what a debacle in Orcl. I guess it helped to drive the techs down. Asia seems to be some of the culprit but a lot of cos., I think, taking this an easy out. Now in Oracle's case I guess it's valid. They get 13% from Asia. The stock is down over 30% - that is a lot more than 13%, I know next qtr. might not be much better - but I decided to make my first purchase in months. ORACLE at 22 1/2. I figure even if it goes down some more, some of our unlucky friends have taken the lion share of the loss already.

When I read your post last night I could actually laugh despite the bad news in APM. You said you were allergic and you asked Margaret if she knew that a lot of infants were. gg. As far as APM is concerned it could have been worse, I almost bought Oracle a couple of days ago.

You asked to add to your list the other day about criterias to buy stocks. The drillers were sold off lately on fears of more oil coming on the market. This does not seem to be the case, so I felt the drillers were oversold. They did make a nice comeback.

It looks like there might be some problems with the earnings of some companies in the next qtr. but IMO more because of Japan and not all those other ones.
