Columbo,

I started having this hangup problem on my win95 recently. My finger hurts and has a smell. I have no clue why it happens. Never had this prob before.
I'd be interested in that javascript code that hoses your netscape.

How many tasks going simultaneously when you close your ISP process?
Check system resources if you have several tasks going just before you exit your ISP. Write down the figure each day. When it goes again, compare your resource utilization for that day with other days. If you've written to disk during your net session, either from your browser or if you've gone out, done disk read/write, and come back, note that too for the day. What access software are you using?

The Javascript or HTML call to load is attempting a hardware read/write or peripheral execution violating NT's kernel security. Shared process data access in WIN95 lets you get away with this. Notice only NSCP fails, whereas with WIN95 process faults will necessitate warm-boot, although message cue intercepts can sometimes enable a graceful exit from your WIN95 browser process.

Columbo, Also, A certain HTML page with Javascript totally hoses my Netscape session on my NT system at work, but is runs fine on Win95

Are you running NT with service pack 3? If you are and also using 32bit true color graphics try changing the setting to 256k colors. That solved my Netscape Communicator from crashing when accessing Java sites.
