Oh.....now you want the government to get involved with building something, ie another program?? Not a program, funding for a work and maintenance project that could exist under an existing unproductive department, like the DOE for example. An infrastructure for transmission facilities to transmit electricity from Wind Farms to the electrical grids. There are many unproductive areas of the country that are ideally suitable for wind farms. Billionaires have been willing to invest in the development of farms but back off in the end because there is no infrastructure to transmit the energy from the farms to the population centers. Let private developers create the industry and govt provide the infrastructure. What's the transmission problem....proximity to the grid??? Yes.
