Aren't the large cities representative this? They all wanted clean air, good education, modern social scientists, civilized social systems.

Koan, I've heard several theories regarding the evolution of modern societies. One in particular mentioned that societies have evolved from despotism to monarchies to democracies, and that they will continue to evolve toward socialism (a.k.a. communism by the people) and then eventually toward utopia.

In any case, I don't see you denying your advocacy of communism. The only caveat you give is that there is some sort of "ideal communism" waiting to be crafted "in concert with the reality of the modern world and social science."

That to me is no different than utopianism, no matter how much you deny it.
