I agree. But look at it from a politician's point of view. What if he were to shut down the NSA spying on everyone program. And then a terrorist attack like the Boston bombing were to occur. Republicans would be all over it, claiming that by shutting down the program he deprived the intelligence community of needed tools that could have stopped the attack. Look at all of the controversies that have stirred up over made up stuff, what if there was actually a kernel of truth?

And that's all that matters to Obama. The consummate politician. That's all he his. If he doesn't believe in it then he should act on it. Instead, he worries about what Republicans might think. A real wimp.
