Good points in that post, ggersh. Looking at this one insightful line... the choreography of enveloping tyranny is mostly history ...I strongly fear that the modern-day authoritarians have learned from the mistakes and failures of Nazi Germany, as well as the U.S.S.R. They have learned from those mistakes and failures, and they have learned how to build a new and much more potent form of totalitarianism that is emerging as we speak. It's terrifying to say the least. The future looks especially bleak. -nfg-
