Was your current insurance canceled due to ObamanableCare?

after retiring and prior to reaching 60, I had no insurance..........got insured thru the NY Bridge Plan for those with (gout) preconditions (bridge to Obamacare)............this plan always was scheduled to end at the end of 2013......had I not got into the NY Bridge Plan, I would have bought insurance on the open market and that policy would likely have been cancelled considering what I had in mind to get. So....yes......my policy was cancelled and the policy I will get will be roughly equivalent but only because I will defer considerable income in order to qualify for a subsidy. Without a subsidy, I would pay approx. 40% more.
