Z, If we had taken care of all of this country's needs and there was nothing left to spend money on than paying people to dig holes that others fill up, we'd be in some utopia, and we're so far from that. But until we get to utopia, you will continue to advocate using the progressive tax code as a vehicle for wealth redistribution, right? My belief is that government shouldn't even try. The basic services rendered by government are all that's necessary to be funded. Heck, even safety net programs have their place. You can beef up said safety nets, but you're never going to close the gap between rich and poor that way. Tenchusatsu
