I lean to the idea this is turning out to be a bigger and much more immediate failure than planned. Yes, they admit they really want single-payer. But I don't think they planned to make the government look totally incompetent to run things right off the bat. They wanted to get people into the exchanges first, then tighten up the rules so insurance companies wouldn't be able to offer policies, then save the day from the private market's arranged 'failure.'

This is bad right off the bat so that Democrats are running from it ... and I think its going to get worse (for them).
