I realized when I was about 20 years old that I had subconsciously come to the conclusion that 'people are crazy'.....this conclusion was simply the result of watching the persistent behavior of most of the folks around me.

Are they really crazy? maybe two issues are main factors: 1) a lack of independence in thought and choice of actions...ie, most people feel pain when they deviate from what is expected by those around them, so they dont deviate 2) the idea that morality is compassion, which grips the minds of most people...

in the end, morality is a matter of thinking properly, as a human mind should think...one of which traits is independent judgement. The focus on compassion distracts and undermines the focus on rationality, honesty, integrity, independence, productiveness....and pride.

So, people arent really crazy, but they are operating on improper fundamentals...
