I've been enjoying this conversation. I know what you mean about the firewood. I fear I'm going to have a lot more to work on. Yesterday and last night there was a hellacious wind storm. I mean it blew a gale. Power went down but my solar system worked seamlessly. Only a slight flicker when it switched over. I felt a little smug as I watched Netflix and enjoyed my evening uninterrupted. :)

This morning it's 28 and snow on the ground.

Envy those clear night skies. Your hi altitude also = less atmospheric distortion. But, you already know that. Anyway, great for observing with or without a telescope. Speaking of which, need to get the clock drive fixed on the Meade. A shame not to have it available for the nights without cloud cover.
