There is a great deal wrong with these assertions, Steve, but most of all there is a factual error. Let's say I grant you the argument (just for the moment) of false equivalence, in which the extremes of left and right are equally bad (without filling out the content of either--are Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren extreme for instance). The problem with your assertion, the factual problem, is that the right extreme actually has some policy clout right now. Not so the left extreme, well, unless you consider Reid and Schumer and Murray and Durbin extreme.
