I notice that you often post on the FRTE thread. There must have
been a lot of hype on market potential to have carried the IPO to
$80. Entering the enterprise market obviously has its pitfalls.
To what do you attribute its fall from grace?
In these days of very tight employment markets it must be difficult
to put together an effective sales force.
Hopefully a synergy will exist in the BORL and VSGN teams that will
greatly reduce the time it would have taken BORL, on its own, to
become a meaningful enterprise player.

David,

Del said he had recently returned from a 2 week visit to the Asian Region. He then mentioned that the rate of growth of Borlands business in Australia would likely be slowed as a result of the problems in the region. I suspect that just as there the currency problems and associated economic slowdowns in that region affect many U.S. companies (witness Oracle today), those effects are felt more so
and sooner in Australia due to it's proximity.

Any Ausies out there who can verify or discredit???

Que le vaya bien... Steve
