I don't think there is an easy distinction between "means" and "ideology" when the former involves undermining the democratic process. That's a function of an ideological commitment in the worst sense, not simply a point of view. It says I'm right and everyone else is wrong, first, and then says the governing structures of the country are up for grabs as I translate my right into policy. That's the point at which means and ends conflate.
