I don't disagree with you - but what the heck that has to do with my suggestion that there are ideologues on both the left and the right escapes me. Is the country pissed at them - you bet, so vote them out. But if you can't vote them out, then we are abiding by the democratic process. You want them to play by some gentleman agreement so that our government doesn't grind to a halt - so do I!!! BUT, the ideological extremes prevent that. If they go too far they will be voted out. But when democrats have the WH and the Senate, it just sounds whiny to me when you blame it all on 16 Senators. That's the hand the President has been dealt - figure out a way to deal with them.
