No, I don't advocate that either. I think he's confusing you with a straw man! I do advocate a 50% top marginal rate, but like you, I'd like to see capital gains taxed like income, then income could be taxed at a lower rate. I'd like to see the wealthy pay MUCH more, and Ten thinks I'm talking about HIM.

But much more important are a higher minimum wage and stimulus programs that create jobs.
Higher minimum wages only increase the cost of labor and puts negative pressure on employment.

Stimulus programs typically do not "create" jobs. Only in specific cases. More often than not, it becomes a form of "wealth redistribution," which as I explained before doesn't actually do anything to shrink the gap.
