I am going to Portland and then we are all going to the beach for the weekend.

It will be fun as my kids best friends are coming to. They are both real sweet.

My other daughter helped me buy a couple of zebco fishing poles on line for the kids. I will get a razor clam shovel. They are thinner. We can dig for clams, worms and those little sand crabs (do you have them?) for bait. The kids will love it. Digging through the sand for worms and other little things is probable the most fun a kid can have.

I researched the fishing. Unlike your beach-lol, this beach has several species of ocean perch which are close to shore and will be a kick if the kids can catch them.

The zebco's just have a button you press down and then release and cast. I am getting them to the kids early so they can practice. They are 4 and 7.

After the beach I am driving down the coast to Eugene to see my hippie daughter.

I am sure you will love the books. I finished the wake series and am in the last book of the Hominid series. I feel smarter already.

And he takes the reader to places that blows their mind over and over and over-lol. Really a great mystery writer. Plus you learn stuff. win/win.
