Guess what surprised me there was that he was born in 1894. I thought of him as a contemporary of my dad, which he was, sort of. I grew up with the Saturday Evening Post in the house - still have a lot of issues of it including the December 14, 1963 issue with JFK on the cover done by Rockwell.

My grandma gave me a subscription to the Saturday Evening Post when I was very young, and I loved it. It had some great fiction, and Rockwell's paintings were brilliant.
