i was just reading the cummins, cmi, conf call, and the ceo said the new 12 liter natural gas engine for the big trucks is selling better than cmi's internal forecasts. they just got into production with this engine, the ISX12, in august. he did not give any numbers, but the ceo has been sort of skeptical on the ng engines in past conf calls, i.e., calling them a niche. maybe the weak diesel engine market all over the world will give him some reason to root for his big and medium sized ng engines. ann duignan of jp morgan is the analyst who has been bird dogging ng engines and asking the main questions about ng engines in conf calls.
