PVA, Penn Virginia, short interest is down by ~1.08M shares based on the 10/31/2013 report. Short interest is now at ~10.1M shares out of ~65M shares.

PVA is again hitting a new 52 week high and has strong relative compared to other small to mid cap E&Ps that I follow. The 13F filing that just came out shows that Soros has bought into a new position, and many funds have increased their stake, see below. j3sg.com Those ~10M shorts must be squirming. Good sized volume today. The Soros fund did sell a bunch of PXD as of the last report, and did buy into some other energy stocks as you can see here. Of interest to some here is the buy of a new position in Magnum Hunter, MHR. j3sg.com
