Castlewood's Orb...

I was just at their web site:http://www.castlewoodsystems.com/index.htm
reading the ORB's specs when I noticed the following:

Average start/stop time 12/6 sec.

Why would it take 12 secs to start up and 6 to stop?
That's worse than my 24x CD-Rom <g>.

Gary: I agree! I was hoping we would see it before the end of tomorrow to keep on the 1,000,000 per month goal. (Last announcement Nov 12). I hope the Oct amd Nov announcements indicating Iomega had reached that goal weren't primarily due to filling the backorders that occurred during the production problems this summer. We may know more in a day or so.

Thanks to DR. IOM for keeping our hopes up, but I've got a bad taste in my mouth as of now. All my money is gone and I don't think it's coming back. Why would they let their stock be hammered like this right before a split? At this rate we'll be in the early teens and hoping for another miracle. This reminds me of exactly what happened last year. All of a sudden it started cascading downward and didn't recover until six or eight months later. I hope this doesn't happen this time around, but I can't help but expect it again.
