The claim that the premium difference is mostly due to lowering the deductible is complete crap as well. My former policy had 7.5K and the Obama blessed one is 6.13K, and the premium difference per year it $2.6K. I suspect this is typical.

"Opps, we forgot to tell you about the minimum requirements when we said you could keep your policy". That is a major major screw up and there will be a political price to pay for it.
