Wrong. Plato considered and classified different schemes of government, all of which the Greek citystates had experimented with.

Plato & Socrates opposed democracy and approved of pedophilia, infanticide and slavery. So koan has a point, those are liberal positions for sure.

The Greeks were newcomers. Civilization predates the Greeks by thousands of years. Go tell your Iraqi friends that they were completely barbaric 2500 years ago. Or India, Egypt or China.
