Given the slowdown in growth I am wondering what PE the street is going to deem acceptable going forward. First off, they ought to bail on the hardware effort since the NC is going to be well represented by IBM, Sun and a host of terminal vendors. Even Intel will be getting in on the NC act and IBM's eSuite will accelerate that market at a break-neck clip. I have a new slogan for the Oracle marketing department: The Software IS the Computer. Java tools, Oracle or otherwise, on an Oracle back-end are going to be huge next year.

This rapid drop in market value hasn't
changed ORCLs "real value".
So on the big chart, this is merely
a blip, either way...
A bullish type would wonder how appealing
ORCL looks, TODAY , to a potential acquisitor?
