The insurance companies are cancelling the policies of individuals currently due to the non-compliance with the new federal regulations. It is not because anyone is sick.

With regard to the WSJ one has to separate out its editorial opinion from its factual reporting. One is apples and one is oranges. The "facts" are that 10 out of 15 million individuals (mostly small business owners or self employed people) are having their policies cancelled due to this non-compliance. They will be able to get new in compliance insurance with the AFCA, but most likely it is going to cost them more and make them buy coverage they may not want (like maternity care). In any event it was not what was promised to them by the President.
