STILL Happens... no ad shows up and the SI Logo is slamming the menu choices... NO Adblockers being used... just me :o( Jack are you still having problems with this? It has now happened to me several times while checking out the ads with my ad blocker was turned off. For me it's an intermittent problem rather than continuous. If the ad-server widget hiccups and fails to cough up an ad, it seems to me that the system should handle this condition gracefully without clobbering the page.
