Don't put words in my mouth. You deal in cheap shots. No I don't agree with that. What I believe and so does the entire educated world is that Plato and his culture were among the first humans to entertain big ideas.

Plato, Socrates and Aristotle were intellectual giants. They taught the world how to think. Thinking is the thesis here!

That is what you and most on the right do not do: entertain big ideas. And that is why only 6% of scientists call themselves Republicans!

You are like Brumar (two peas in a pod) you do not take time periods into consideration. Which is pretty simplistic thinking.

We don't disregard what George Washington and Thomas Jefferson just because they had slaves. Which is the type of logic you have presented.

Plato lived 2,200 years earlier than those two and yet operated pretty much at the same level. If Plato, Socrates or Aristotle and any one of thousands of Greeks woke up today and went to college they would pick up the modern ideas pretty quickly. Because they knew how to think.

Hi koan; So you agree with Plato then? You agree that Democracy leads to excessive freedom including equality between men and women? And that it inevitably leads to tyranny?
