meta - what bothers me about this story is ..... since when has the world at large, and the u.s.a. in particular not interfered with another country when they wanted to, justifiable or not? it doesn't make sense that, if this situation is as dire as it seems, canada, the u.s., mexico, central and south america haven't forced their will to make sure a catastrophe does not occur in japan ..... except, of course, if it was deemed that the effects of such a catastrophe would not impact north america financially or any other way. money dictates everything, not japan's pride. maybe the feeling is that it is japan's problem so japan can solve it. but, you can never convince me that if the u.s. thought japan was putting the entire west coast from alaska down to the tip of chili and american lives in harms way by dealing with the situation as they are, that the u.s. wouldn't march into that country and deal with it. heaven forbid, but maybe japan has become 'dispensable' to the rest of the world. and where is main stream media on this? why isn't it all over this story like a wet blanket. the keystone pipeline and fracking is small potatoes compared to the armageddon about to take place in japan. is someone covering up and if so, to what purpose? just my musings. -rose
