The last two episodes of Homeland have renewed my interest - they were very good.

I'm also warming up to Masters of Sex. I like the characters more and more. It's sort of Mad Men Light. It features the era that leads into Mad Men, almost a prequel so to speak. The characters aren't as intense, enjoyable, diverse, or troubled as those on Mad Men, but like I said, it's kind of a warmup to what happened during the time that lead to all the fun and debauchery that Don, Roger and the rest enjoy.

Instead of taking place in a swanky downtown NY office building, Masters of Sex takes place in a sobering Midwestern hospital, so that gives it an uphill battle for ahem, sex appeal. But gosh, the topic is pretty darn interesting, at least to this Midwestern boy.

And if you can't fall in love with the doe like eyes and wonderful attitude of the actress that plays Virginia Johnson then you need to get your sex hormone levels check. She combines the "girl next door" look with the Mad Men attitude that would make Sigmund Freud want to lay on his own couch and day dream.
