I should have been a little more specific:

Up until now if your medical expenses, including health insurance exceed 7.5% of your income you can deduct them as an individual, don't have to do it through a business. However the threshold increases to 10% with this tax year. But a lot of people paying $800 a month or more for medical insurance have no problem reaching the deductible threshold.
So some people won't qualify and with the reduced premiums if they get the tax credit subsidy, still fewer. There will be a sweet spot for some, however. One's mileage will vary :)

I'm thinking tax preparers are going to be extra busy over the next couple of years.
