ASND is not going to get bought by LU and that should not come as a surprise. The reason ASND is looking like a good investment is quite simple. ASND is the largest digital modem manufacturer to the central office. If people thought that a new modem technology would not give ASND a problem they deserved to loose money. The 56K modem issue is coming to a end and ASND will benefit from this. 1,000 $ PC will help along with new high speed products like xDSL. That is why people are buying the ASND and soon people will begin to figure it out. Pooling is one big reason LU will not buy ASND. Now that ASNDs employee options have been repriced you have to wait six months for a pooling and that would be a very big charge for LU.
