scoot-

that book sounds intriguing. i read some reviews and i read all they
would share in the LOOK INSIDE! on amazon. gary's head seems
to travel through a lot of my backroads. he sees the world as it is,
one small fictional planet filled with millions of aging cultural differences
and media branded personalities trying to compete for air and water
and love in a period rapidly approaching singularity..

singularity? its inevitable face is already emerging, but how
will humans adapt without losing our individual identities
and personas? we WILL adapt, but i don't know how.

the mysterious journey is playing out without a map.
(at least we know where we're starting from) - i'm glad i have
a four wheel drive truck and a passport. if i had a KLR 650
strapped in the bed, i'd feel readier. can't think of a better
vehicle to transport my "inner friend" <g> ...except maybe
a sailboat on the rio dulce in guatemala and an occassional
tuc-tuc ride or water taxi.

remember the youtube video i posted here the day after
ms. b's wedding? there are now two official videos posted...
one by avicii and one by co collaborator/singer aloe blacc
and they're both going viral. they've made a couple of nice
mini movies out of the song. here's the newest (two weeks old)
by aloe blacc, directed by alex rivera. the main character,
hareth andrade, is a dead ringer for bridgette's best friend
and matron of honor, carlotta gomez.

similar theme to what i could glean about the book you're
reading... but just a snapshot in comparison:

please keep us posted on your experiences this month.
and give us a review on the super sad true love story when
you finish it.
