I didn't say that.

I said the effect was the same independent of the motivation, I didn't say the effect was zero sum. In order to understand the effect you would need to follow a long chain of interactions. That is what keynesian economics is all about. It says not only that there are differences in what is done with a $, but those differences are different at different times. At certain times it is better to spend the $ than save it. At other times its better to save the $ than spend it.
