And most importantly earning very average incomes.. it is amazing that such a large part of the population has forgotten that scientists are humans too. The scientific method was developed to counter the natural biases that all humans, including scientist, incorporate into their lives. And when there is blatant evidence that the scientists in a given field are working together to subvert the scientific method, then it is clear that what they are doing is no longer "science". The greenie leftists turned climatology and anything "green" into an economic bubble, much like the dotcom boom. I was steeped in the silicon valley culture in the 90s and one thing is very clear, everybody believed their own bullshit. And so did most of the world. The consensus was that the internet was a new paradigm that created a new economy. When I hear the word "consensus", every alarm in my body goes off. I hate the word in business. I hate the word in investing and I hate the word in science. So a bunch of guys in a boring little backwater branch of the scientific world figured out a way to convince people they were more valuable. I guess you can't really blame them for that. But you can blame the people who continue to ignore the evidence that suggests that they are nothing more than snake oil salesmen.
