The people voted for downward mobility in 2008 and 2012. Anyone who paid attention knew he'd be a disaster for America.

Exactly. And the only way to get the economy going was the phony housing/credit bubble and massive expansion of the MIC after 9/11. Purchasing power of the middle class decimated by doubling down trickle down on steroids which was only short term medicine of the 80's, plus globalization and technology. A failure that no one has this conversation. I blame the GOP a lot pounding them mercifully but lots on the Dem side as well II am not thrilled about. For instance someone explain to me if Dems are for the working class and poor people then why are any good areas in our big blue cities now so expensive to live in? Housing through the roof even with the lousy economy for most. I can go into cost of education, cost of health care they are a big part of the blame there. Then go to the personal responsibility, affirmative action and racism as an excuse for bad behavior and life choices even today
