Yes, it is a terrible thing. Once you are declared to be outside the "body", the body will see no wrong in extinguishing you. Once government is what is worshipped and obeyed, all is left is waiting for the arms of government to destroy whatever is in their way and for whatever reason you are determined to be "in the way". Whether that God is judeo-christian, muslim, buddhist, mother earth.... Yes, indeed! That is why so many of the founding fathers determined that people should worship as they pleased. The very same reason many Fraternal Orders require that you believe in something greater than yourself. I believe no one of any or even the same faith perceives their beliefs in the very same manner, but it is imperative that is be respected.
