There are easy things we could be doing, that make sense whether or not you believe in climate change, or other liberal "sciency" ideas- we should focus on those low hanging fruit, since we could get all but the most rabid on board with such a plan. Some things need to be done whether or not you believe the majority of climate scientists- let's do those things- there are a lot of them! Shore up levees. Repair dangerous dams. Work on desalinization plants that make sense. etc I do not understand why we don't try to find areas of consensus. Despite how much left and right hate each other, and it's obvious we DO hate each other, find the things we do agree on- there are some, and they are important for our lives. And do those things. Throw mud, call names, and screech about the things that cannot be accomplished, but for goodness sakes, do some of the easy stuff. It's so stupid our government doesn't work that way. They'd rather masturbate in front of each other, grandstanding with their little swinging dicks, than do what needs to be done.
