Unfortunately (or fortunately, considering privacy and wind) the property lines are heavily planted. Our neighbors have a line of large trees (West side)- not sure what, but the whole boundary is planted. On the other side, we've got roses and hedges (East side). On our North boundary we have a large raised planter and fountain- so that won't work. The house came with fairly complex landscaping, and I don't think we can do too much with it. I do love our landscaping, even though we only have a few fruit trees. The people who owned the house before us planted some really interesting plants. I would have focused more on edibles, but at least we have plants that attract bees and butterflies.
