....WCII bought 38ghz when no one wanted them....great editorial in WSJ I think pg 24 12/8/97 regarding digital geniuses (ie Gates, Grove, et al) vs RBOC rejects...very bright tech venture cap guy Roger McNamee put it best..."Tech runs by Moores Law...monopolistic RBOC's run by moron"s Law"... basically says the digitalizes brains are going to beat the heck out of these dinosaurs...it gets better all the time...

I THINK (but am not sure) that attenuation of many types can be addressed by increasing the bandwidth (range of frequencies) transmitted through. David?
