I know a Campbell soup senior management family who do not eat Campbell soup after the family members saw how it is made (dehydrated ingredients including beef, chicken etc.). In fact they don't eat any canned soup ever.

I am not clear that a majority of Americans see this as a pressing issue or a need. WA state just had election on this very issue.........and it lost by a considerable margin.

THe majority of Americans are not informed enough and they believe the ads buys of the huge corps instead of doing their own research on what gmo means and its impacts(real and potential).

I am sure more money poured in from corps than from proponents who favored the initiative but you didn't get that sense from watching the ads. Both sides made their positions very clear and both had respected local people in the food industry making their case. In addition the pros and cons of every initiative are provided in brochure that the state passes out two weeks before the election. The positions and their reasons are presented in considerable detail.

This is an issue I feel passionate about----I want my food clean, pesticide-free and its seed not engineered nor manipulated.

I guess a lot of people are just not as passionate as you are. For an example, I don't eat organic even though I voted yes on the initiative.
