I often don't know those things and much of anything else; and with scientist's you certainly can't be sure. The second book was better and the third was good, of the wake series IMO, but in Hominds his third book gets a little too preachy at times; and some of his ideas would offend many. It is a very weird book, I will say that. But I am usually Ok with weird. And people seem to blow through the first book of hominids fast. It is a weird interspecies romantic anthropological fiction story. He sure takes a lot of liberties with it.
