It can't be the primary issue when there is another issue (entitlement spending) that is already more than twice as big, and in future years the gap will increase a lot.

As for common sense regulation. No that's not so common sense. A ban should properly require legislation, and probably shouldn't happen at all. Closer to nanny state than common sense.
