Konrad; I was responding to your "Go Altera" comment but strickly as a joke and it was reference to selling your position not leaving the thread. From your post; ...just some ramblings on this stock... note the low volume on this thread, too. definitely an institutional stock. when i see anyone posting "GO ALTERA! GO ALTERA!" on here, will sell all my leaps and find some stock even more obscure. :-) BTW: I agree about the AMAT. I manage a few hundred thousand for family members and even put 4% of my newely widowed sister in-law's money in this one. It is such great opportunity to get the industry leader at a bargain price. She is in at 32 1/4. On Altera - it is just a difficult product for the masses to comprehend. The result is it just gets thrown in the semi's basket. It is really amazing since with XLNX it represents a duopoly of considerable size. They just do not get any respect. But it was worse when I bought Altera as an IPO. The stock came out of the gate and ... went nowhere. Cheers.
