Yes, in every scientific discipline there are the people who have ethical lapses, but that doesn't change the fact that many other disciplines have come up with compelling evidence. If you looked into all the scientists that claim that evolution is real, I'd bet you'd find one or two who falsified fossil records to prove their point. Fraud is a fact of life, but a few instances of that don't change the overall picture against a multi-disciplinary backdrop of overwhelming evidence.
