Legalize drugs and instantly triple the manpower to go after trash like that .. with no increase in taxes ..

Triple the available manpower for violent criminals.

Without any new taxes ..

Make all of it dirt cheap. Nobody makes any money. Some drop dead overnight (an attractive part of my pipe dream likely). Then the crime rate drops through the floor. Nobody has to steal. No turf worth holding because the drugs have no value left.

That is the quickest way to eliminate the crime involved in drugs. One single move that can protect the population of the United States from this attack of violent crime.

To simplistic .. I know. If the idea got any steam at all, you might see people getting killed in car crashes or whatnot. Drugs fund massive off the book black ops programs. So .. they simply have to stay illegal.

The scale of this funding method? I think it's likely that most of the heroin production from Afghanistan lands in the US. I figure the majority of that flows through CIA or DEA hands in one way or another. I just look at production and our heroin flooded nation. Can anyone remotely suggest that caravans of camels loaded with opium are sneaking past the US military? For how many years now?

Sorry .. drifting. Scale? How many black op programs can you fund with 75% of the US heroin market?

So our high crime rates exist to support these off the book programs.

Back to your post that I was responding to:

We don't have the resources to waste chasing stupid plants while jerks like that are out there.

If you have a manhunt going, you pull resources from speedtraps.

Our current crime rates demand zero fluff in the system. Public safety should the the number one focus for resource flow.

Triple the manpower that is being directed at violent crime, without raising taxes. This would have a substantial benefit in public safety.

Or .. I could phrase it like this: "Triple the manpower to hunt animals like that, please. I could suggest how, if You like."

So .. are US forces sooo inept that this happens? Or ... is this intentional ??

Some would tell us that caravans of camels are outperforming the US military.

All of that opium is converted to heroin and sold in the US .. your tax dollars at work.
